Mechanical dispensing versus air
Mechanical dispensing is particularly useful in industries such as medical, electronic and fiber optics, which require precision dispensing of small to micro amounts of costly materials.
These materials are most often packaged in syringes ranging from 3cc to 30cc. Examples include: pre-mixed and frozen adhesives, silver loaded pastes and micro mixed epoxies that tend to quickly change viscosity during their working life.
With air dispensing the shot size will alter as viscosity and/or temperature changes and as the material level falls within a syringe. The I&J123-S will deliver the same volume shot independent of a change in viscosity or temperature and will dispense the entire contents of a syringe, resulting in significant cost savings and an avoidance of waste.
Palm integrated computer display
The user-friendly Palm touch-screen display provides simple entry functions for the package size, number of dispense steps, shot size, dwell time, jog speed and pull-back. Up to 100 programs can be stored. A unique real-time, graphic run-screen displays the status of the syringe and provides the user with information on the program number, liquid level and the percentage of shots dispensed.

in the hand
The I&J123-S Hydro-Link transmission provides an instant drive of the barbed-ram to the material via the barrier- piston. The hydro-link dramatically reduces weight, and the syringe can be comfortably held in the hand for long production operations. The design can also be integrated into any I&J Fisnar robot or other automation equipment.
